Objectives

Spymaster Thalodien at Area 52 wants you to go to the outskirts of Manaforge B’naar and retrieve the B’naar Personnel Roster from Captain Arathyn.

Completing quests for the Scryers will cause your Aldor reputation level to decrease.

Description

You may have noticed one of Kael’s manaforges on your way here. You know, the large purple buildings sucking energy from the sky?

We were sent here by the Sha’tar to investigate them. You can help our information gathering efforts by obtaining a personnel roster. Giving us an idea of who’s there and what they do will prove to be invaluable information.

We believe Captain Arathyn, leading a ballista team just outside of Manaforge B’naar, is in possession of one such roster. Obtain it for us.ProgressDid you obtain the items I asked of you, <name>?

Excellent! With this roster we can make more educated decisions when targeting Kael’s followers at the manaforges.

It’s too bad, I was beginning to take a liking to killing his lackeys indiscriminately.

Just pick the guards off one by one and don’t worry about the one in the back. DoT the Capt and fear the mount. Capt will die fast enough that you can eat/drink before mount comes back lol.

lol 70 mage.. AoE’d him and his add’s lol…. went down quick.. i have also Aoe’d him and his adds at lvl 68.
Don’t know if this is a glitch or not but as a rogue if you cheap shot any mob on a mount the mount will not appear.
The co-ords 27,65 are good although he patrols a small perimeter at the top of a mound. However, a word of advice. Captain Arathyn is surrounded by at least 4 guards and when you attack him he splits into two - him and his mount.

I found him at 27,65. He’s on the top of the hill with the banners and such.

He has a little wider than normal social range for the mobs around him. If you (or a helpful other player) clear the area before pulling, there will only be him and his mount. It may be possible to pull him without clearing or getting any additional mobs, by carefully pulling him when he’s farthest away from his camp (rather than what I did - start my frostbolt just as he decided he’d stood out like a big target long enough, so that he had walked 3 seconds closer to his friends when my frostbolt hit.)
