Description

You have proven yourself capable of great feats, <Name>. Your discovery of the Cipher of Damnation and Kael’Thas’ involvement is most important to our cause. Should Kael use the cipher, what little is left of this world may collapse.

A’dal is convinced that Kael must be stopped and now seeks adventurers willing to undergo trials. Those that prove their strength will be granted favor by the naaru.

<Khadgar nods.>

Tempest Keep is a naaru creation, mortal. Access to the vessel has always been within our power to grant. A return to Tempest Keep, though, had been deemed unnecessary. A point of pride for a mortal race, perhaps, but naaru invest little in such things.

We go now because we must. Kael’thas cannot be allowed to utter the words of damnation.

While the way is open, only a fool would enter unproven. Do not underestimate the purpose of the trials, mortal.

Tempest Keep, Eye of the Storm Key **
Everyone in the raid must have [The Tempest Key] in order to enter The Eye. There is no door to open but the key is rather a passive attunement much like the Drakefire Amulet.

Once you complete the Cipher of Damnation quest line in Shadowmoon Valley you will recieve a letter from Khadgar in the mail asking for you to come talk with him. He will instruct you to talk with A’dal and you will then recieve three quests:

Four trials you must pass before you are deemed worthy of the Tempest key
[Step 5] Trial of the Naaru: Mercy
Completes in Shattred Halls, Heroic Mode

[Step 6 & 7] Trial of the Naaru: Strength
Completes in The Steamvault & Shadow Labyrinth, Heroic Mode

[Step 8] Trial of the Naaru: Tenacity
Completes in Arcatraz, Heroic Mode

After all this is done, you get [The Tempest Key].

One more clarificaton:

You need to complete 1 more step before receiving the key and quite a major one at that. After you’ve completed Trials of Mercy, Strength and Tenacity, you get the last (fourth) trial - Trial of Naaru: Magtheridon. This quest gives you Tempest Key as a reward.

Btw.: I don’t know about those reputations, I’ve received these Trials even though I am not Revered with any of those.
You need the Revered reputation with Cenarion Expedition for Steamvaults: Heroic; Revered reputation with Lower City for Shadow Labyrinth: Heroic; Revered reputation with the Sha’tar for the Arcatraz: Heroic; and Revered reputation with Honor Hold/Thrallmar for the Shattered Halls: Heroic. You don’t need these rep levels to actually acquire the quest, just to complete it.

Once you complete the Cipher of Damnation quest line in Shadowmoon Valley you will receive a letter from Khadgar in the mail asking for you to come talk with him. He will instruct you to talk with A’dal and you will then receive three quests:

Theres one more step after all that before you get the tempest key. you must kill magtheridon in magtheridons layer, 25 man raid. THEN you get the tempest key. good luck to anyone on this step im working on the herioc quests
