Nitrin at the Abandoned Armory in Nagrand wants you to bring him 1 Mountain Gronn Eyeball, 1 Flawless Greater Windroc Beak, and 1 Aged Clefthoof Blubber.

Description

It has already begun. Levixus stands atop the ruins of Auchindoun and reads from the book of the dead. He calls the dead out by name and, through demonic ritual, binds the tortured souls to his will. He will raise all of Auchindoun if given the chance!

But… you must first prepare. You cannot do battle with that which you cannot see.

Bring me the items I require to brew the tincture. It will open your mind and allow you to see into the spirit world.

Levixus’s army grows in size and power with each second that passes. You must hurry.CompletionStranger… I was not forthright with you. Once you drink this potion, you will forever see into the world of the dead. This recipe that you drink of is a rite of initiation for all death priests of Auchindoun. Many go mad after its effects have taken hold. Seeing the dead is … shocking.

Quest: 10252

A gronn spawns on the ramp to the warmaul hill; if you wait and follow it eventually it will aggro an ogre and thus you can kill it when its at lower than full hp!

Word to the wise: engage the gronn before it kills the ogre - don’t forget when it leaves combat it regens to full hp
The problem as a 66 Feral Druid was not the killing even of the 67 Mountain Gronn that isn’t a slouch. The problem with this quest is Blizzard in their infinite wisdom thought it would be cool to have 4 or 5 dead Aged Clefthoofs for scenery. Now if after killing over a couple dozen Aged Clefthoofs without getting the Blubber you can appreciate my annoyance. It didn’t take more than about a half dozen Rocs before I got that drop and the first Mountain Gronn dropped his eye. So expect to put in alot of time on the Aged Clefthoofs. I have been at it two days scouring the whole West side of Nagrand killing every Aged Clefthoof I see and I still haven’t got the blubber.

Gronn doable at 65. Druid: Cast regrowth, and moonfire pull. Shift to bear.
Bash, mangle, maul, rinse and repeat. Only used 28% hp. Try it out…
Quest stuff: Found him at 26, 48.

Solo stuff: Prot-specced warrior (67) in battle stance with shield = killed him easy-peasy. Decently geared though, but you should be fine. He was at 10% while I was at 65-70%.

Then the elite talbuk Bach’lor came and decided to pwn me while I was taking the last 5% off of Gronn, like some noob 70 ganking a lvl 5 on a pvp server. Looted, got eye, then died.

i had trouble finding Mountain Gronn (23,42)
rest of them are rigth at 32,25
These co’ords for the Mountain Gonn are correct. He’s a 67 Elite and drops the Eye the first time you kill him.
The co’ords for the Windrocs and Clefthoof are also correct, but they are spread out over a larger area so exact co’ords don’t matter.
Soloable - lvl 66 NE prot warrior.

Go south of Warmhaul hill ( far WEST OF NAGRAND)
you can find
- Aged clefthoof : dropped from 5th kill
- Greater Windroc : dropped from 15th kill

If you go justa bit south of the river, you can find more clefthoof and Gronn.
Gronn : Dropped from 1st kill .
Gronns are lvl 66 Elite but they do soft melee damage (…my grandmother hits harder), and they have ONLY 14′000 hp. Easy kill really.

Be prepared to spend a lot of time just looking for the Aged Clefthooves, ir seems there’s only about five of them in all of Nagrand.
There are also Aged Clefthoofs at 37,60. Annoyingly low droprate on the blubber. The other two dropped at first kill for me in the North. Might have been luck, though.

Group isn’t really necessary for a mage.

-The Windroc item and the Mountain gronn Item are simple. The Aged Clefthoof may take some time. The respawn rate on them is just aweful. also- ALLIANCE! STOP KILLING PEOPLE WHEN QUESTING. ITS NOOB.
