Magic The Gathering - Construction of Decks Extended

The decks should be constructed to contain a minimum of 60 (sixty) cards. There is no maximum size for the deck, however, the player must shuffle their deck of power without assistance. If a player wants to use SIDEBOARD, it must contain exactly 15 (fifteen) cards.
With the single exception of letters of earth core, the combination of the deck of a player and his SIDEBOARD can not contain more than 4 (four) copies of a letter given by the equivalent of the English-language name of that letter.
All letters calling Plains (Plains), Isla (Island), Swamp (Swamp) Mountain (Mountain) and Forest (Forest) are basic.
The following sets of letters are allowed in tournaments Extended:
- Seventh Edition (Seventh Edition)
- Eighth Edition (Eighth Edition)
- Ninth Edition (Ninth Edition)
- Tenth Anniversary Edition (Effective from July 20, 2007) (Tenth Edition)
- Invasion
- Planeshift
- Apocalypse
- Odyssey
- Torment
- Judgment
- Onslaught
- Legions
- Scourge
- Mirrodin
- Darksteel
- Fifth Dawn
- Champions of Kamigawa
- Betrayers of Kamigawa
- Saviors of Kamigawa
- Ravnica: City of Guilds
- Guildpact
- Dissension
- Coldsnap
- Time Spiral
- Planar Chaos
- Future Sight
- Lorwyn (Effective from October 20, 2007)
Banned
The following cards are banned in Extended tournaments:
- Aether Vial
- Disciple of the Vault
- Entomb
- Skullclamp
(With effect from October 20, 2008, following the launch in September with the code name "Rock" left the following sets the format Extended: Invasion, Planeshift, Apocalypse, Odyssey, Torment, Judgment, Onslaught, Legions, Scourge, and Seventh Edition.)
