Beautiful times ... the 90'sy informatics
Muladas Speaking on the list of phpgt, we got to remember old times. Not so old if you believe that human history is several centuries. But equally, from what I have to live and experience I can tell you that life technology for about 15 years ago has changed for better or for worse.
- Apache started to gain ground in the Netcraft
- Slackware was installed from floppy disks
- PCmagazine few cd's gift of linux (No slack or remember if it was the first corel)
- Mandrake had the most beautiful installation
and the whole gang of systems wanted her back, unfortunately are not pulling the graphic environment! - Napster was the KING!
- My computer was a clone of 350MHz with 128MB ram and video card of 4megas a BEAST ... to play Strarcraft and UT.
- For ripear a cd to mp3 had to leave my computer turned on all night! But after a month my collection of wavs disappeared and the space in the HD increased dramatically. No more scolding from my mom because I could not save their documents

- On weekends we connect via modem to play Doom.
- Try to schedule a web application for libraries with jsp, perl then be finished. More or less at that time a new language for Web was taking force, who Would everything that was going to become php.
- I had an internet service in my home via dialup. 1 hour afternoon down at a video of Tool .. 14 seconds.
- We were not more than 10mil users in napster and there was nothing but music. Not long ago get off a DVD full 4GB in 7 minutes.
- Always dreamed of a portable CD player to which he put a CPU and OS to listen to mp3's. Without jackets.
- According reminding me go, this list growing anger.
We can only hope, a bio-chip friendly subcutaneous anger that is hosted on the skull. With which we can communicate via telephone (cellular technology 6G course), surf the internet in the style of Johnny Mnemonic Universe of Warcraft and play virtually as Neuromancer.
And what is your technological memory of the 90's?
